The Douglas/Sclavis/Lee/van der Schyff quartet was brought together and recorded by trumpeter Dave Douglas for the Banff Arts Center Jazz Workshop during the summer of 2003. The group is comprised of four superb musician/composers. Besides Douglas, a visionary, Grammy nominated New York based artist, it features Louis Sclavis, an award winning clarinetist/composer from France, and the husband and wife team of cellist Peggy Lee and drummer/percussionist Dylan van der Scyff, both of whom are important contributors to Vancouver's modern jazz scene.
